Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback and three-time Super Bowl champion, has established a pleasant rivalry with the Buffalo Bills in recent years following some memorable battles with quarterback Josh Allen.
Fortunately for Mahomes, he has emerged victorious in this rivalry on numerous occasions, and he claims that the Bills Mafia is open about their views toward him.
Mahomes appeared on Logan Paul’s podcast Impaulsive and discussed how he may be beginning his villain arc, mentioning his trip to Buffalo this year and saying, “I think I saw 40,000 middle fingers on the way into the stadium.”
Mahomes said that after the win, he attempted to hand his gear to a kid in the stands while being pummelled with snowballs, but stated, “These people really don’t like me, it’s not fake at all.”
It’s understandable why Bills supporters dislike Mahomes, considering the quarterback is now 3-0 against them in the playoffs.
Every Bills fan understands that in order to advance to the franchise’s first Super Bowl with Josh Allen at quarterback, he must first overcome Mahomes and the Chiefs.
It’s entertaining to hear Mahomes be so frank, and if the snowballs are a little extreme, good rivalries are one of the finest things of being a sports fan.
The Chiefs vs. Bills matchup is the most popular in the league right now, and we can only hope to see them face off again in the playoffs this season.
When the Buffalo Bills moved Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans this summer, many fans assumed the age of the diva wide receiver had come to an end. However, the team recently added a wide receiver with an interesting past after being traded by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Bills needed wide receiver depth after dealing Diggs and letting Gave Davis leave for the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency. With the 33rd pick in the draft, they selected Keon Coleman to provide quarterback Josh Allen with a target for the upcoming season.
The Buffalo Bills have signed Chase Claypool.
According to a statement from the Bills, the team signed Chase Claypool.
Claypool, 6-4, 238 pounds, is a big-bodied receiver who has over 2,000 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns since joining the league. The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Claypool in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and his four touchdown performance in Week 5 set a team record.
He concluded the 2020 season with 873 yards (fourth among rookies) and nine touchdowns (first among rookies).
Claypool has previously played for the Steelers (2020-2022), Bears (2022-23), and Dolphins (2023).
The Steelers previously traded Claypool to the Bears for a 2023 second-round pick during the 2022 season, when Claypool was seen as a rising talent in the league. However, he struggled in Chicago, amassing only 118 receptions for 191 yards and one touchdown in ten games.
Last season, the Bears advised Claypool to stay home for a game a few days after he complained that they had not put him in a position to thrive in their offence. The Bears ended up dealing Claypool to the Miami Dolphins for pennies. Claypool would catch four passes for 26 yards in nine games with the Dolphins.
