Rivals.Com National Recruit Analyst remarked that it would be disappointing if four-star cornerback Chris Ewald did not commit to the Miami football team when he announced his choice on June 27. Garcia’s projection was part of his “fact or fiction” column.
Ewald is a four-star recruit, the 30th-ranked player nationwide, the sixth prospect in Florida, and the fourth-best CB in the 2025 class, according to Rivals. According to his 247Sports profile page, Ewald has official visits set to Louisville and Penn State on the weekends of June 14 and June 21, respectively.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine agrees with Garcia, giving Miami an 86.4 percent chance of receiving a commitment from Ewald. Every other program is expected to receive less than a 5% commitment from Ewald. In April, Ewald named a top six that included Auburn, Georgia, Louisville, Miami, Penn State, and Tennessee.
Miami has received eight unofficial visits from Ewald. Ewald has previously visited Michigan eight times. Ewald made all of his visits to Ann Arbour until the end of November 2023, when he decommitted from Michigan in January. No other show has received more than five visits from Ewald.
