Dennis Allen, the New Orleans Saints’ head coach, provided an injury report on freshly acquired defensive end Chase Young. According to Allen, Young’s health is improving, but he does not expect him to return to the practice field soon. Young has participated in walk-throughs during OTAs, and the organization expects him to remain in that role until training camp.
When New Orleans signed Young, they were aware of his health and anticipated that he would be away for the duration of the offseason.
Chase Young was the Saints’ big off-season signing, and they’re banking on the potential of the fifth-year defensive end, who is on a one-year prove-it contract. New Orleans has been lacking a reliable pass rush over the last two seasons, and despite his current injury, anticipate Young to be available and a significant addition to their pass rush.
