HUGE CHAOS: Saint Head Coach Dennis Allen Future in serious Jeopardy amid Brutal Clash with Owner over Alvin Kamara’s controversy

The New Orleans Saints, like the rest of the NFL, have begun OTAs, a voluntary component of offseason activities. Because OTAs are voluntary, there is no guarantee that all players will come, no matter how much coaches want attendance to be 100%. That is the dilemma the Saints are currently facing.

Head coach Dennis Allen has stated that he wishes all of the New Orleans players were present, but that is not the case. In fact, Alvin Kamara and Marshon Lattimore, two of the Saints’ top players, have both been absent. Both of their absences were remarkable. Lattimore’s absence follows an offseason of trade rumours. Kamara’s absence comes as new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak is implementing a new offence.

Dennis Allen spoke out on Tuesday about Kamara’s absence while the offence is being established, and he had plenty to say. He began his comments by stating that Kamara’s absence during this vital period can be problematic. Allen went on to say that he understands that players, particularly veterans, have other duties outside of football. Ultimately, Allen believes Kamara is doing what he needs to do to prepare for the season.
Dennis Allen believes Alvin Kamara will be ready, despite his absence from OTAs.

Finally, Allen’s abilities are limited. Alvin Kamara turns 29 this offseason and is gearing up for his seventh NFL season. As a five-time Pro Bowler, the experienced running back should understand what it takes to be at his best when the season begins.

However, the fact that New Orleans is implementing a new offence is a significant part in the equation. Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak has previously stated that Kamara has met with him several times. Kubiak stated that he learned how bright Kamara is throughout those discussions. Finally, it does not appear like there is much to be concerned about. Kamara should be physically and mentally prepared when the season begins.
