SAD NEWS: Broncos Top Experienced Star Kicker Sued Being Sued in Civil Court For Alleged Sexual Assault In Plane

The Washington Commanders learned Monday of a civil lawsuit filed against kicker Brandon McManus last week.

A representative stated that the team is investigating the incident and has communicated with McManus’ agent and the NFL office. According to ESPN, two women are suing McManus for sexual assault on a charter trip to London last year while he was playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“We take allegations of this nature very seriously,” the official told the Associated Press.

According to ESPN, the women, identified as Jane Doe I and Jane Doe II, accuse McManus of rubbing and grinding against them during the flight, and the Jaguars of failing to supervise him and create a safe environment for team staff. ESPN reports that they are demanding more than $1 million and a jury trial.

According to the lawsuit, McManus, 32, committed sexual assault last year while aboard a team trip to Europe with the Jacksonville Jaguars. That journey occurred in September on a plane bound from Florida to England for a Jaguars game in London. The plaintiffs in the action were flight attendants on the jet, and they also sued the Jaguars organization, alleging that it failed to provide a safe workplace for them.

“Earlier today, we were made aware of the civil lawsuit filed on May 24 against Brandon McManus,” the Washington Commanders, McManus’ current squad, said in a prepared statement. “We take such complaints very seriously and are investigating the case. We have communicated with the League Office and Brandon’s representatives and will make no further comments at this time.
