Cederian Morgan’s recruitment continues to progress, with him receiving an Alabama offer while camping on Friday.
Morgan is a rising junior at Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, Alabama. He is presently one of the country’s hottest recruits, having received offers this month from Cincinnati, Florida State, Auburn, Mississippi State, Florida, Oregon, and Missouri.
The in-state recruit believes Alabama’s offer is remarkable.
“It means a lot,” Morgan told Touchdown Alabama. “It’s a dream come true for an in-state youngster. Growing up, I was always watching Alabama, and my entire family is a huge supporter. Any time there was a big game, we were the type of family who gathered and watched Alabama. It’s simply a dream come true.”
Kalen DeBoer, Alabama’s head coach, told Morgan of his offer at the end of camp. DeBoer appeared to be highly impressed with the gifted wide receiver.
“He talked to me after the camp, and he was like I’m one of the best 2026 receivers he has seen,” Morgan recalled. “For my class, he feels he can use me and build around me for the class of 26.”
Morgan has a lot of respect for DeBoer, and the 2026 recruit likes how the Alabama head coach has previously run his offences.
“He is a real good, real cool coach,” Morgan stated. “He suits the playing style I prefer: swinging the ball around and taking shots, and he’s really good at it. He has been the greatest at it for a long time, and he enjoys throwing the ball. He has sent several talented receivers and quarterbacks to the league.”
Morgan is highly sought after by college football programs due to his potential to be a large and powerful wide receiver capable of pulling in contested catches and making plays after the catch.
“As a 6-foot-5, 200-pound receiver, I can run,” Morgan said when asked what he does best on the field. “I can get out of my breaks quickly and go up to retrieve the ball. As a receiver, I’m a complete package.”
Morgan has the potential to be a top recruit for Alabama in the future.
