Phillies place OF Brandon Marsh on injured list with right hamstring strain
The Pittsburgh Steelers appear prepared to improve on a 10-7 season in 2023, when they made the playoffs for the first time since Ben Roethlisberger retired after the 2021 season.
They’ve added future Hall of Fame quarterback Russell Wilson, backup quarterback Justin Fields, and rising star linebacker Patrick Queen.
The Steelers announced on Twitter on Monday that they had signed wide receiver Jaray Jenkins to provide depth to their roster.
Jenkins went undrafted last year and signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars immediately after, where he played briefly in the preseason but was dismissed before Week 1.
He played four seasons of collegiate football at LSU, where he had 89 catches for 1,370 yards and 14 touchdowns while teaming up with quarterback Jayden Daniels as a senior in 2022.
George Pickens, Pittsburgh’s key wide receiver heading forward, with 1,140 yards and led the NFL with 18.1 yards per reception last season.
While trading WR2 Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers, they did get Van Jefferson, who caught 89 passes for 802 yards and six touchdowns while helping the Los Angeles Rams win the Super Bowl in 2021.
The Steelers compete in perhaps the strongest and most toughest division in the NFL, alongside the Baltimore Ravens, who had the league’s best record in 2023, the talented Cleveland Browns, and the 2021 AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals.
But they appear to have the talent to make the playoffs again and possibly win at least one game.
