The New Orleans Saints finished required minicamp on Thursday and will have a month and a half free until training camp starts.
Unfortunately, the Saints did not complete minicamp without any injuries. Their most recent injury was to a tight end.
The New Orleans Saints’ tight end had a foot injury.
Juwan Johnson had a foot injury at mandatory minicamp and will have surgery next week. Johnson will be out indefinitely, but the Saints believe he will be ready for the start of the season.
Following his injury, the Saints signed an experienced tight end.

Horsted is on his third team and sixth season in the league. He has played 41 games and started one in his career, catching 14 passes for 131 yards and three touchdowns.

The Saints presently have seven tight ends on the roster: Juwan Johnson, Taysom Hill (FLEX), Foster Moreau, Dallin Holker, Horsted, Michael Jacobson, and Tommy Hudson.
Horsted will battle for a roster berth.
Jesper Horsted will battle for a roster slot. Uwan Johnson, Taysom Hill, and Foster Moreau are already on the roster, leaving the final spot open. Horsted will battle for the final roster place with Dallin Holker, Michael Jacobson, and Tommy Hudson.
