NCAA Recruitment Report: DONE DEAL- The Texas Longhorns Have Officially Landed Another Elite QB a Top NCAA Highly Rated 5-Star

Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian has done an excellent job of making his program appealing to top quarterback recruits once again.

The Longhorns formerly had Vince Young and Colt McCoy as quarterback, but now they have Quinn Ewers, a projected first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and former five-star recruit Arch Manning, the nephew of Peyton and Eli.

Talent breeds talent, so it’s no surprise that Texas has added another top quarterback prospect to its roster. This time it’s Dia Bell, a five-star 2026 quarterback from Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (American Heritage High School).

Bell revealed his commitment to Texas on Monday, picking the Longhorns over LSU, Penn State, and others. He has approximately 40 offers to date.

“I really enjoyed my visits and have developed great relationships with Coach Sark and Milwee,” Bell stated to On3. “They are one of the best offences in the country, with a track record of progress at my position. I am really enthusiastic about their move to the SEC and the potential to assist deliver a championship to the 40 acres.”

Bell hasn’t even played his junior year of high school basketball yet, so there’s always time for another program to try to lure him away, but for what it’s worth, he sounds quite locked in with the Longhorns.
Bell is the son of Raja Bell, a former NBA great. According to the 247Sports Composite, he is the No. 2-ranked quarterback in the 2026 class and the No. 10-ranked player overall.
