SHOCKING NEWS: Phillies’ Manager Rob Thomson Provides a Shocking And Crazy Update on Trea Turner’s Status After Missing Padres Game

Staying healthy over a 162-game season can be difficult for MLB players. When an injury halts development during the season, it can be difficult for players to rebuild confidence. Trea Turner has just returned from a hamstring injury, and the Philadelphia Phillies are taking it easy on their All-Star shortstop.
Turner missed 38 games before returning on Monday. He was also in the lineup on Tuesday before sitting out on Wednesday, despite the Phillies’ off day on Thursday. Turner had a scheduled day off, allowing him to have consecutive days off.

How the Phillies' Trea Turner tried to stay ready during his six-week stint on the injured list
The Phillies don’t want Turner’s hamstring to be a reoccurring issue, so they’ll get him off his feet now as he returns. He played all 33 games until becoming injured in early May. The Phillies only improved while he was out.

Although they are being careful for now, the Phillies intend to release Turner shortly to ensure he can handle a full schedule again.

“We’ll see how long we can go with him,” manager Rob Thomson told the Associated Press.

Turner and Brandon Marsh’s comeback has fueled the Phillies’ momentum. Even though they will be without catcher J.T. Realmuto until the All-Star break, Philadelphia is poised to continue winning in the second half.

Turner had an incredible April following an unsatisfactory first season in Philadelphia. He hit in his first two games back and has a.340 season average. His.835 OPS is his best since 2021.

Phillies near 50 wins as injuries derail progress.
The Phillies have remained pretty healthy this season, and even when they are without a star, they manage to perform on a nightly basis.

During Turner’s absence, the Phillies increased their division lead by 6 1/2 games, firmly establishing themselves as the NL East favourites. They finished 6-3 without Turner and Marsh.

At 49-25, the Phillies’ season may go in a variety of directions. They can get hot again and surge to 100 victories as the National League’s top seed. They can play at.500 the rest of the season, win 93 games, and capture their first division championship since 2011.

In the worst-case scenario, Philadelphia falls the rest of the way, barely stays up with the division, and lacks momentum heading into the playoffs.

As it stands, the Phillies are one of the favourites to win the World Series. There’s little reason to assume that will change, given how they’ve performed this season in every situation. Philadelphia finds new ways to win every week, and its supporters are treated to lots of spectacular moments.

Trea Turner and Rob Thomson still puzzled by slump this season, Phillies take caution with injured closers

The Phillies’ problem this year is that they haven’t played anyone. Over the last two weeks, Philadelphia faced several playoff contenders. Each of the Phillies’ last seven series was against a team in the playoffs or within a game. They’re 12-10 in those games.

The Phillies aren’t quite at the historic pace they were at the end of May, but they’re still winning at a high rate and remain the best club in the National League in terms of record. They could be the team to beat in October, but the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves will have a say in that.
