Tennessee received another commitment this weekend, this time from four-star defensive lineman Charles House on Saturday. The Huntersville, North Carolina native chose the Volunteers over offers from other elite programs.
House is 6-3 and weighs 288 pounds. He attended North Mecklenburg High School. According to On3 Sports, House is the 284th overall prospect in the 2025 class. He is the tenth best player in the state of North Carolina.
House reportedly had bids from Alabama and Georgia, among others. He joins four-star recruits Ethan Utley and Jayden Loftin on the defensive line for the 2025 class. House, like a few other pledges this week, recently returned from an official visit to Knoxville. Notably, House made official visits to Alabama (May 31) and Georgia (June 7) before arriving in Knoxville.
His first visit to Tennessee was last fall during the Texas A&M game, which was a chaotic ‘Checker Neyland’ event. Tennessee offered him a scholarship back in September 2023. He’s now risen to prominence, receiving many lucrative offers in recent months.
House will join Tennessee’s defensive line room, hoping to become the next success story after Rodney Garner, who has completely altered Tennessee’s defensive front.
