REASON: Saint QB Derek Carr Just Got a Reason to Leave Or Quit The New Orleans Saint

The New Orleans Saints offence saw much too much inconsistency in 2023. Derek Carr needed to improve. Pete Carmichael, the offensive coordinator, also did. They appear to have new vitality now that Klint Kubiak has taken over as play-caller.

If they wish to realize their potential, one position group must take a step ahead. The black and gold have a young group of pass catchers.

Carr and his targets communicated clearly at times last season. Sometimes it seemed to be on the quarterback. That was not always the case, however.

According to Warren Sharp, the Saints were among several teams (including the Washington Commanders, Arizona Cardinals, and Carolina Panthers) that had incompletions owing to receiver inaccuracy.

Overall, the receiving group ranked in the top half of the statistics. Regardless, talented players like the Saints are expected to be more consistent in terms of communication, route running, drops, and so on.

Having saying that, they outperform the other WR groups in those rankings. Simply put, they need to increase the production and efficiency of such receivers.

If the Saints are to return to the playoffs in 2024, both the wide receivers and Carr must improve. Dennis Allen’s job may depend on them.
