OFFICIAL: Louisville Football Has Officially Confirmed The Commitment of Another Huge 3-Star Edge Highly Ratedprospect

Edge prospect Eric Hazzard of Frankin, Tenn., has declared his commitment to the Cardinals, just a few days after a ‘phenomenal’ official visit to Louisville.

The 6-foot-3, 250-pound three-star prospect is the eleventh member of Louisville’s 2025 recruiting class.
Hazzard made his official visit to Louisville last weekend and has down his collegiate options to the Cardinals and Memphis.

“It went phenomenal,” Hazzard said of his stay in Louisville. “We were treated very well.” The hospitality was excellent.

His time in Louisville was highlighted by some of the city’s experiences, as well as a deeper look at the football team.

“We checked out all of Louisville,” he told me. “I was with Coach Morris and myself, and we went around downtown Louisville, seeing everything. We got to visit Churchill Downs. We got to tour the Yum! Centre, and then we got to spend the day at the football facilities, exploring the full stadium.”

Most importantly, Hazzard’s relationship with the coaching staff has improved.

“It definitely strengthened them,” Hazzard stated. “That was the first time I had a one-on-one conversation with coach Brohm, and then I was able to sit down and get to know the defensive side of the ball with coach English and everyone else, coach Hagan, coach Morris, and coach Ivey.” It’s really nice to get to know them a little more and realize what kind of individuals they are.”

The University of Louisville football staff believes Hazzard has the potential to become an outstanding performer. According to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, he is the nation’s No. 91 edge prospect.

“I would say they definitely see me being a top guy at Louisville and they see me being a guy that can standout in the ACC at that,” Hazzard told the media. “They’ve all said that I’m on a very underrated player when it comes to getting rated with stars and all that and they think that I have what it takes to play at a big level.”
