HUGE TWIST: NBA Chiefs Are Set To Revolt Dallas Mavericks Klay Thompson Signing As Trade Gets Major Twist Following Trade Review

Initially, the transaction that transferred All-Star shooter Klay Thompson involved the Dallas Mavericks and the Golden State Warriors. However, more teams were recently joined to the arrangement, resulting in a higher profit than originally anticipated.

Thompson agreed to sign a three-year, $50 million contract with the Mavericks last week. This was once a sign-and-trade agreement involving Dallas, Golden State, and the Charlotte Hornets.

Thompson, who has spent his entire 13-year NBA career with the Warriors, including four championship runs, will now join superstars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving in Dallas. The Warriors allegedly offered Thompson a two-year, $48 million contract last offseason, but he declined as the team began to rely more on rookie shooting guard Brandin Podziemski.

Prior to the modification of the prior transaction, the Warriors received two second-round picks in exchange for Josh Green from the Hornets. Thompson’s departure brought an end to one of the NBA’s most successful Big Three teams in recent memory, leaving only All-Star guard Stephen Curry and forward Draymond Green in Golden State.

The Dallas Mavericks have acquired Klay Thompson in a historic six-team deal.
As it stands, the existing agreement has been changed to include additional clubs. According to a tweet from the Mavs’ official account on X, the Minnesota Timberwolves, Denver Nuggets, and Philadelphia 76ers have all been added as well.

Thompson was dealt to Dallas, and the Warriors received Buddy Hield and Kyle Anderson in return. The Hornets acquired Josh Green, Reggie Jackson, and two second-round picks, while the Timberwolves acquired a second-round pick and a pick exchange. Hield was traded to the Sixers for a second-round selection, while the Nuggets received cash.

This transaction is the first in NBA history to involve six teams at the same time. Thompson and the other guys who have been relocated should find themselves in a better circumstance than they did last season.
