HUGE DEMANDS: Giants Has Made an outrageous Demands From Mets “Two Top Class Prospects” In Exchange For Blake Snell trade

The day has here. The MLB trade deadline is like Christmas for many baseball fans. Whether your team is in contention or pretending, this is the day to destroy your finger by hitting the Twitter refresh button repeatedly. One of the most recent New York Mets rumours casts doubt on the possibility of trading for Blake Snell.

The idea of trade for Snell came from Jon Heyman, who said that the San Francisco Giants are attempting to avoid paying his contract next season.

Naturally, the Mets make sense as a team owned by a man with unlimited cash, a desire to win, and a need for a starting rotation.

The Giants want top prospects for Blake Snell, which might put an end to these Mets rumours.
This month, the Mets have failed to trade away any big prospects. They have been cautious ever since the Phil Maton trade. The power of Steve Cohen’s wallet has yet to be used. Snell believes it has the potential to be.

A $30 million base wage for the coming year is a lot of money for one arm. It is far from the Mets’ most expensive contract in recent years. Jacob deGrom, Max Scherzer, and Justin Verlander all won more. And next season, the money they’re still paying the later two will be deducted from the books. Trading for Snell makes too much sense if this was primarily a salary dump. It does not appear to be so.

The Mets carefully traded Scherzer and Verlander at last year’s trade deadline while paying a substantial amount of their contracts this season in order to maximize the return on both. Snell’s situation is very different, as he has only lately began to pitch successfully and can always leave at the end of the season.

It’s a tough trading scenario. Offering the Giants Luisangel Acuna in exchange for Snell appears to be a viable option, but this may not be the case if Andy Martino’s Mets rumours are accurate. The Mets will most likely reject the notion if it costs them multiple top prospects. How desperate might the Giants get?

The Giants don’t feel compelled to trade Snell for a less satisfactory return. More teams may consider him during the offseason. In any case, flipping the switch and acquiring the reigning Cy Young winner would be a big move by the Mets. After all, it was the one item missing from this year’s club personnel. For more than a decade and a half, the Mets have had at least one future or former Cy Young champion on their roster. It’s one box they haven’t checked off.
