STILL MORE TO COME: Lakers Vice President Of Basketball Operations And General Manager Rob Pelinka Reveals Lakers Are Very Close To Signing Talented Frontcourt Scorer to Pair With Lebron James

According to a fresh Los Angeles Lakers trade rumour, a great frontcourt scorer from a rival Western Conference club is on the team’s “radar.”

The Lakers have had a rather boring summer in terms of roster improvement. While they created news by hiring JJ Redick as their new head coach and drafting LeBron James’ son Bronny James, they have not made a significant move to improve the squad for next season.

The team allegedly tried to persuade Klay Thompson to join the squad and was linked to a Dejounte Murray trade for months. However, both players signed with other Western Conference teams this summer. But it appears that the front staff is now looking for an impact player from the Portland Trail Blazers.

Los Angeles Lakers allegedly targeting Jerami Grant trade.

On Tuesday, it was reported that Portland is shockingly looking to trade top scorers Anfernee Simons and Jerami Grant. Following that revelation, Yahoo Sports NBA expert Jake Fischer stated that Grant is now on the Los Angeles Lakers’ trade “radar.”

According to recent sources, the organization was seeking for a traditional centre to play alongside star forward/center Anthony Davis. Grant has demonstrated over the last four seasons that he is capable of scoring 20 points per game. Although he is not a very strong rebounder for a forward, he has improved his three-point shooting in recent years. He shot 40% in Portland last season.
Grant has four seasons remaining on the five-year, $160 million contract he signed with the Trail Blazers last summer.
