Caitlin Clark spent her weekend in New York City, including a trip to Yankee Stadium on Saturday. The WNBA returns next week.
Clark made it apparent that her favourite aspect of visiting the New York Yankees’ home was meeting Aaron Judge.
Judge and Clark met before the Yankees’ doubleheader against the Texas Rangers.
The Yankees trounced the Rangers 8-0 in the afternoon portion of the doubleheader, as the defending World Series winners have struggled to maintain their success this season.
Clark should return to Indianapolis shortly, as the Fever play the Phoenix Mercury on Friday.
The WNBA has been on hiatus since the All-Star game, which also served as a send-off for Team USA to the Olympics.
Clark was among the dozen WNBA All-Stars who defeated Team USA last month, raising concerns that this year’s American team will be vulnerable to defeat.
The American Olympic team is unbeaten in Paris and will face France on Sunday for the gold medal.
Clark’s professional debut after being picked first overall by the Fever in April has drawn unparalleled interest to the WNBA.
Clark is certain to be a member of the 2028 Olympic team in Los Angeles, as more than a dozen Olympians return to the WNBA this week.
