According to Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette, the Denver Broncos have released wide receiver Brandon Johnson. While Johnson has demonstrated some playmaking ability, he has struggled to earn his way onto a 53-man roster on a continuous basis.
Johnson, one of my favourite wide receivers on the team, is always in position to make a huge play. Last season, he had 19 receptions for 284 yards and four touchdowns, including a spectacular play in the last preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals.
However, as an undrafted college free agency from the 2022 NFL Draft, he lacks the pedigree that would qualify him for the opportunity. Fans like him, as 64% of you voted for him to make at least a few starts, while the rest believe he will make the practice squad at the very least.
I agree with that view and feel he will be a certainty for the Broncos practice squad if he clears waivers this week.
