In an effort to reduce their roster to 53 players, the Las Vegas Raiders have parted ways with former Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Zach Gentry. Gentry, as a vested veteran, is now a free agent and may sign with any team.
Gentry, the Steelers’ fifth-round choice in the 2019 NFL Draft, was released last season, making room for Rodney Williams to make the squad. Gentry, meanwhile, did not return to the Steelers and instead signed with their rival Cincinnati Bengals, joining their practice squad. Later, he would join the Raiders, who signed him to a reserve/future deal after the season. However, he was unable to make the roster.
