MORE GOOD NEWS: Detroit Lions Fans In Massive Joy and Excitement Following DJ Reader and Latest Dan Campbell Report

Allen Park — The Detroit Lions continue to report encouraging news on DJ Reader, listing their new nose tackle as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. That is the best possible designation for an injured player, indicating that he is more likely to play than not.

Reader signed a two-year, $27.25 million contract with Detroit in free agency, but he missed the whole offseason program while rehabbing from a damaged quad sustained last season in Cincinnati. He was supposed to return in Week 2, but his recovery has gone more quickly than expected. He returned to practice last week, hasn’t missed a day this week, and is getting ready to make his Lions debut.

“Yeah, he looked pretty good,” head coach Dan Campbell stated today. “Now it’s just a matter of how many times he can play. Will this allow him to get a little more next week, or is it just a setback, or are we just about even right now? … He improves every day. He took much more yesterday, which was good.”
