Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott confirmed to reporters Monday afternoon that quarterback Josh Allen has been cleared to practice this week and will participate in the team’s Week 2 game against the Miami Dolphins.
ESPN Bills beat reporter Alaina Getzenberg was the first to break the good news about Allen’s availability.
If one was needed, Bills Mafia can breathe a “sigh” of relief knowing QB17 will continue to prepare for Buffalo’s road game in Miami, which will kick off Thursday Night Football on Prime. Following the Bills’ Week 1 victory over the visiting Arizona Cardinals, there was some uncertainty about Allen’s hand.
Allen scrambled to paydirt from eight yards out in Buffalo’s home opener, flying airborne and landing awkwardly on his left hand/wrist halfway through the fourth quarter.
Allen was immediately seen wrapping the afflicted region heavily, while backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky began warming up. Allen never missed a snap, returning to lead the offence on the next possession before winning the well-deserved kneel-down to begin the 2024 NFL season 1-0.
