HUGE BLOW: Auburn Tiger Have Loss Team Most Experienced Veteran Who Is Set to Officially Join Arizona Cardinals

Last season, the Baltimore Ravens cut Angelo Blackson as they lowered their preseason roster to meet the regular-season restriction. The former Auburn defensive tackle appeared in 11 games for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2023.

On August 26, the Denver Broncos cut Blackson as they reduced their preseason roster to the regular season limit. And, as with last season, getting cut may not prevent Blackson from playing in the NFL in 2024.

On Tuesday, the Arizona Cardinals added Blackson to their practice squad. Players on the practice squad can be eligible to play if they are promoted to active status the day before the game. Each team is permitted to promote two practice squad members to active status for each game.

This will be Blackson’s second tenure with the Cardinals. In 2020, the defensive lineman appeared in 16 games, started nine, and tied his career best of 2.5 sacks for Arizona.
