HUGE BLOW: Buffalo Bills Are Set To Be Without Key Player After Suffering A Terrible and Disastrous Injury “He Is Out Indefinitey” Confirmed Head Coach Sean McDermott

Orchard Park, New York (AP) Terrel Bernard, the Buffalo Bills’ starting middle linebacker, is out indefinitely after injuring his pectoral muscle, and coach Sean McDermott would not rule out putting him on the short-term injured reserve list Friday.

McDermott said the organization is still debating whether to place Bernard on IR and make him eligible to return after missing at least four games. Bernard did not return after being injured while making a tackle in the first quarter of a 31-10 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night.

His injury leaves Buffalo without two starting linebackers, as Matt Milano is out until at least December with a torn left biceps.
The Bills already lack experience at linebacker. Dorian Williams, a second-year player, is starting in lieu of Milano, while third-year player Baylon Spector has taken over for Bernard. The primary backups are veteran free agent signing Nicholas Morrow and undrafted rookie free agent Joe Andreessen, as the organization presently has no linebackers on its practice squad.

McDermott also provided an update on nickel cornerback Taron Johnson, stating that the starter is listed week to week and is not anticipated to be placed on short-term IR. Johnson is out after injuring his right forearm during Buffalo’s season-opening 34-28 victory over Arizona on Sunday.
