“Things progressed swiftly in Texas. They came out in the spring and offered, and they came after me hard, and after that visit, I had a positive attitude toward Texas. I liked the school, I connected with coach Blake Gideon, and they just kept exerting pressure like no other school, so I made my selection. They tell me I am No. 1 on their board, and they are No. 1 on mine, therefore we are a wonderful match. My father and I have been discussing it, and I reached my decision earlier this week.
From the start, Hicks and the Longhorns appeared to be a natural fit. Texas is attracting outstanding football players.
