AFN NORTH NEWS: HUGE BLOW- Cleveland Brown Suffer Shocking Season Ending Blow

The Cleveland Browns are 1-1 to start the season, having lost at home to the Dallas Cowboys and won on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Cleveland bounced back nicely in week two, earning a much-needed victory.

However, following the game, some heartbreaking injury news was released.

The Cleveland Browns have placed receiver David Bell (hip) on injured reserve. In addition, the team added WR Jaelon Darden and RB Royce Freeman to the practice squad.

Bell, a third-round pick in 2022, has appeared in 32 games. He’s totaled 41 receptions for 408 yards and one score. This season, he has three receptions totaling 27 yards.
Darden (5-8, 175) is in his third NFL season after leaving North Texas. Darden was originally drafted by Tampa Bay in the fourth round in 2021 and has featured in 25 career games, four of which have been with the Browns. He will wear number 16.

 

Freeman (5-11, 240 pounds) is entering his seventh NFL season after graduating from Oregon. Denver chose Freeman in the third round of the 2018 draft, and he has participated in 79 career games. He has 471 carries for 1,792 yards and 10 touchdowns, as well as 86 receptions for 532 yards and one score. Last season, he appeared in 14 games for the Rams. Freeman will wear number 28.
