Terrion Arnold, a rookie cornerback for the Detroit Lions, is a little lighter in the wallet after receiving his first NFL punishment.
The No. 24 pick was fined $11,255 after being issued a facemask penalty against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2.
In his first two career games, the former Alabama Crimson Tide defensive back was flagged for three pass interference fouls and a facemask offence.
Defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn stated this week at his weekly media session that his safeties unit complements one another well, and it is up to the coaching staff to capitalize on the secondary unit’s overall skill set.
Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph appear to be a team that can prosper for the next few years.
Glenn stated, “I think I said last week, man, these men haven’t had a chance to really – all five of these guys, including Amik (Robertson), haven’t had a chance to really just work together from OTAs all the way through training camp, and we’re finally starting to get that now.”
“I’m also talking about corners. But you’re right, they compliment each other extremely well, and we need to capitalize on the skill sets that individuals possess.”
