HUGE DECISION: Dan Campbell Announces Decision About Sam LaPorta For Monday’s Game

Before this week, the Detroit Lions had all eyes on one of their greatest pass catchers.

Sam LaPorta suffered an ankle injury and is considered uncertain to play.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter writes that head coach Dan Campbell has verified that their star tight end will play.
LaPorta suffered the injury during Week 3’s victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

He’s off to a slow start this season, at least compared to expectations.

He has 86 receptions in his rookie season in the league and was one of Jared Goff’s favourite targets from the start.

The Lions will still be without centre Frank Ragnow for their Monday night game against the undefeated Seattle Seahawks.

Ragnow has a pectoral ailment, and the fact that he was ruled out of the game so early in the week is not encouraging.

The Lions are 2-1 after three weeks and are considered to be one of the NFC’s toughest opponents after reaching the championship game last season.

Their offence hasn’t been as spectacular as some expected given what we witnessed last season, but they have the talent to turn the page and become a force to be reckoned with sooner rather than later.

However, the Seahawks will pose a significant threat because Mike Macdonald has done an excellent job of improving their problematic defence.
