Could the Vegas Raiders move Davante Adams this season? One reporter believes that is a possibility.
Adams suffered a hamstring injury in practice this week, keeping him out for Week 4 and possibly longer.
On “Football Night in America” Sunday, NBC’s Mike Florio discussed Adams’ position. Florio cited Adams’ $35.64 million salary for next season as a possible reason for an offseason break between the receivers. Florio believes Adams could be transferred sooner than that.
“Keep an ear open for chatter pointing to a possible Davante Adams trade in the next five weeks unless the Raiders emerge as clear contenders between now and then,” Florio told the media.
On Sunday, the Raiders defeated the Cleveland Browns 20-16 to improve their record to 2-2. With a.500 record, the Raiders may not be ready to break ways with Adams yet. However, if they do deal him, one team has often been connected to the receiver.
Adams has caught 18 catches this season for 209 yards and one touchdown.
