SHOCKING TRADE MOVE: Raiders Have Agreed a Blockbuster Trade To Land NFL Fans Nets All-Pro Pass Rusher in Exchange for Davante Adams

The strained relationship between the Las Vegas Raiders and All-Pro wide receiver Davanate Adams appears to have reached rock bottom. Just a few days after Adams injured his hamstring and missed the Raiders’ Week 4 game against the Cleveland Browns, reports arose that the Raiders are looking to move the 31-year-old, whom they acquired before of the 2022 season in a deal with the Green Bay Packers.

The report comes only one day after Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce “liked” an Instagram post implying Adams had already played his final game with the Silver and Black. This revelation seems like a long time coming given Adams’ outburst on Netflix’s “Receiver” in July, which ignited trade rumours that spread like wildfire after New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers expressed a desire to play alongside Adams again.

“I love Davante,” Rodgers remarked in July. “I can’t wait to play with him … again.” With Adams on the trading block, many fans have targeted the New York Jets as a potential trade partner.

The apparent reason for this is that Adams would be reunited with Rodgers, but the Raiders may also be able to acquire an unhappy All-Pro in pass rusher Haason Reddick from the Jets. “I’ll say it again, Jets and Raiders should swap Hasson Reddick and Davante Adams,” a fan posted on Twitter. “Jets send – Hasson Reddick 4th round pick (2025) To Raiders for Davante Adams,” offered another. “Rodgers is a bust, Hasson Reddick, you are a Las Vegas Raider,” wrote another.

NFL fans aren’t the only ones who considered this trade match; former Jets quarterback and now-NFL analyst Boomer Esiason recommended it in August when Reddick wanted a trade. On paper, this makes perfect sense. The Jets got a receiver who Rodgers is comfortable with, which is exactly what New York needs after the last few weeks. The Raiders receive an excellent pass rusher with 58 career sacks to pair with another All-Pro, Maxx Crosby, and a monster in the middle, Christian Wilkins.Raiders Trade Pitch by NFL Fans Nets All-Pro Pass Rusher in Exchange for Davante Adams - Athlon Sports

According to Spotrac, any team that signs Adams will have to pay $13.5 million, while Reddick currently has a $750,000 cap hit. However, Reddick has been holding out for a new contract after being traded from Philadelphia to New York, which could cost him $21 million if he misses the entire season. So the Raiders would have to decide whether to go all in on him or try to sign a free agency quarterback rather than pick one. Reddick would also need to confirm that he would not repeat the move in Las Vegas. However, this move would undoubtedly help the Raiders continue to create a formidable defence and team.
