This Sunday’s showdown will be between two fairly ordinary clubs. The 2-2 Las Vegas Raiders travel to Denver to face the 2-2 Broncos in a division game. While the Raiders have dominated this meeting in previous years, winning eight straight over Denver, this game could be different. Las Vegas enters this game with a banged-up roster, having missed both Maxx Crosby and Davante Adams against the Cleveland Browns the week before.
However, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, one of the Raiders’ top players might return on Sunday, providing a significant boost.
Obviously, this is a huge help to the Raiders. Crosby suffered the high ankle injury that he has been struggling with since Week 2. It led him to miss some time during their Week 3 clash, and while he still played that week, his ankle appeared to be bothering him.
That injury prompted him to miss last week’s game, which was the first time Crosby has missed a game in his whole career. The Raiders obviously missed him, but they still put up a strong defensive effort to upset the Browns 20-16. Crosby returns just in time for a critical game.
The Raiders, Broncos, and Los Angeles Chargers are all tied for second place in the AFC West with 2-2 records. If the Raiders defeat the Broncos, they will have a 3-2 record, which would put them tied for second place in the division at worst, having won their first division game.
