DECISION MADE: Commanders Have Officially Made A Decision About Brian Robinson Jr.’s Status

The Washington Commanders have won four straight games and face the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, who have won three in a row after going 0-2 and have the league’s second-highest scoring offence at 29.4 points per game.

One major storyline leading into the game for Washington has been running back Brian Robinson Jr.’s health, and the team has formally decided on his status for the Ravens game on Sunday morning.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Robinson has been downgraded to out after missing all of practice this week due to a knee issue.
Robinson is out to a fantastic start, with 325 yards and five touchdowns on a career-high 4.5 yards per rush through five games, so maybe this is only a one-week suspension and he will maintain his excellent productivity the following week.

With Robinson out, Austin Ekeler will likely take on the majority of the workload, and Jeremy McNichols should see an increase in touches as well.

Ekeler is used to heavy volume from his time as a featured back with the Los Angeles Chargers, and despite his reduced workload in Washington, he has looked as spry as ever.
He is now averaging 7.9 yards per rush and 13.7 yards per reception on 30 touches, and it will be intriguing to see what he can do for this offence if he is given the opportunity to handle 20-25 touches each week, as he used to.

It will be difficult without Robinson, but this club has the firepower to cover for him for a week or two if necessary.
