BRUTAL REACTION: NFL Directors and Redskin World Brutal Reacts To Jayden Daniels Given New Name By Ravens All-Pro After Commanders Loss

Call Jayden Daniels ‘the truth’ from now on. Roquan Smith, the Baltimore Ravens’ All-Pro middle linebacker, has given the Washington Commanders rookie quarterback a new name.

He gave Daniels the nickname as a compliment to the first-year quarterback who fell short at M&T Bank Stadium in Week 6. The Commanders were defeated 30-23 on Sunday, October 13, despite Daniels completing two touchdown passes to Terry McLaurin.

Daniels won the respect of decorated Ravens players such as Smith and two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson, despite failing to win the game. Smith, a two-time first-team All-Pro, told reporters, “Washington is in capable hands.” I believe the guy is… “He’s the truth,” says ESPN’s John Keim.
There’s no shame in playing a hot Ravens team with a four-game winning run close. Daniels frequently made plays against a veteran and tough defence.

In the process, he received support from fellow Heisman Trophy winner Jackson.

Lamar Jackson likes Jayden Daniels.

Daniels was eager to avoid comparisons to Jackson in the lead-up to this game. Even so, the second choice in the 2024 NFL draft will undoubtedly appreciate his opponent’s warm remarks now that the dust has cleared.

Jackson said Daniels “deserves all the attention he’s getting.” He played an excellent game out there. They simply came up short. He has been proving it. According to Ben Standig of The Athletic, his rookie season has been fantastic, with him playing exceptionally well in the first six games.

That’s strong praise considering Daniels couldn’t keep up with Jackson in Baltimore. While the reigning MVP threw for 323 yards and six incompletions, Daniels completed 24 of 35 passes for 269 yards and three sacks.

His numbers were not as impressive, but Daniels won over the Ravens with his composure under pressure and resourcefulness in crucial moments.

Jayden Daniels demonstrated Ravens wisdom beyond his years.
Daniels lacked the backing of Jackson’s dominant running game, which was led by Derrick Henry. The Commanders’ quarterback didn’t have as many productive pass catchers at his disposal.

Ravens vs. Commanders highlight biggest NFL matchup of Week 6

Daniels’ limitations did not prevent him from making clutch plays. None more so than when he found McLaurin for his second touchdown, this time on fourth-and-goal in the final quarter.

As B/R Gridiron phrased it, “9 for 9 on fourth down this year.” JAYDEN DANIELS IS HE.
The throw not only demonstrated excellent ball placement. It also highlighted Daniels’ ability to remain calm and unafraid under pressure.

With that combo, Daniels is playing like a pro. Former NFL QB and Fox Sports analyst Chase Daniels praised his football play, stating, “This is NEXT LEVEL QB play we are seeing….his processing is off the charts.”

It’s great to see fellow quarterbacks praising Daniels for his understanding of the game’s nuances. Smith is also acknowledging the abilities of a young athlete who still has a long way to go.

Smith, a two-time Pro Bowler, leads his defence and is one of football’s top on-field signal callers. His endorsement assures Commanders supporters that Daniels is not only good now, but will only improve in the future.
