JUST IN: 49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Make a Major Decision On Ricky Pearsall Ahead Of Chiefs Clash

The San Francisco 49ers are on the right track six games into the 2024 season. The 49ers are coming off a 36-24 victory against the Seahawks and are preparing for another key game against the Kansas City Chiefs on October 20. San Francisco made a significant move on rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall prior to the game as he recovered from an injury.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the 49ers have stated that they will open the practice window for Pearsall, who had been out with a non-football ailment.

Ricky Pearsall will benefit greatly from the transfer. In early September, the former Florida football player was shot in San Francisco during an attempted robbery, injuring him. Fortunately, Pearsall did not require surgery to treat the wound and has made a good recovery.

The 49ers originally placed Pearsall on the NFI list on September 2nd, expecting him to miss at least four games in the 2024 season. It’s excellent to see the rookie practice window restored as San Francisco approaches Week 7.

The 49ers selected Pearsall as the 31st overall pick in the first round of the 2024 draft. He spent three years with the Arizona State football team before making a breakthrough when he transferred to Florida. Pearsall accumulated 1,207 yards and six touchdowns in his final year with the Gators before pursing professional football.

If Pearsall makes it into the receiver lineup, he will provide vital help for San Francisco’s offence.

The 49ers began the season shakily due to a slew of injuries, but they have since recovered to finish at.500. They will face one of their most difficult battles of the 2024 season on Sunday against the unbeaten Chiefs. The game will be a rematch of Super Bowl 58, in which SF suffered a heartbreaking 25-22 loss.

Perhaps the encouraging injury update on Ricky Pearsall will give the 49ers the boost they need to win and gain momentum.
