HUGE CHAOS: Raider Owner ’ Mark Davis Has Issues Strong and Brutal Words to Antonio Pierce That Has Spark Serious Concern

The Las Vegas Raiders and their owner, Mark Davis, have had quite the week. Not only did the team trade top wide receiver Davante Adams, but Tom Brady was also accepted as a minority owner.

There are mixed feelings surrounding the Raiders right now because landing Brady is great, but this season has been a nightmare thus far. Davis is dissatisfied with the way the season is currently going, but he is hopeful that things will improve.

“We aren’t happy right now. “We’re not performing as well as we could,” Davis stated at the owner’s meetings, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “But the season is young, and we’ll see what we can put together.”

Ex-UA player, ASU aide Antonio Pierce is Raiders' interim HC

Davis made a huge move by moving Antonio Pierce to full-time head coach. He had little experience as an NFL coach but impressed Davis with his performance in the interim post. While some supporters have already turned on Pierce, Davis has made it obvious that he believes in what the coach is developing.

“He’s a young head coach. “He’ll learn how to be a head coach,” Davis explained. “He has surrounded himself with many good people. He just needs to grow into the position. It’s his first year, basically.”

Pierce and general manager Tom Telesco have had a rough start to the season, but Davis appears to be patient with them.

“They have a vision, and they’re attacking it,” said Davis. “It’s not easy to do overnight.”

This isn’t going to be like last season, when there was a coaching change in the midst of the season, but it will be fascinating to watch how patient Davis is if the Raiders only win one or two more games this season.

Given that the Raiders do not appear to be a playoff club this season and may be heading in the wrong direction, there has been conjecture that they will sell at the trade deadline. Many have speculated that top defensive end Maxx Crosby could be traded, but Davis denied the rumour.

“It’s just not happening,” Davis said about a potential Crosby trade.

Davis made it plain that any Crosby trade rumours are not coming from within the Raiders’ organization.

“It’s unfortunate today, but there’s so much outside chatter that is not true,” Davis told the audience. “It is not coming from any sources. It is not originating from anything. My primary rule is to never answer any of those questions because you will become imprisoned in this black hole.”

Crosby is the franchise’s face, and the Raiders would have to provide a big deal to consider selling him.

Davis must be disappointed with the Adams trade. He was one of the team’s most prominent players, but he left before the end of his third season.

Davis, on the other hand, is not going to dwell on his unpleasant emotions for too long.

“It’s part of the deal in football,” Davis added. “The players come and go. “If things don’t work out, they don’t work.”

Davis has only had two winning seasons since taking over control of the Raiders, so he is probably used to disappointment by now.
