A lot of Romeo Doubs discussion focuses on what he isn’t rather than who he is.
Doubs is hardly the most explosive wide receiver. He’s not the biggest or fastest. He’s not even the most productive. But he is consistent and dependable, and the methods in which he produces are really beneficial.
When Doubs receives the ball, good things happen. He has a first down on 18 of his 23 catches this season, the team’s highest percentage. He has also caught 67.6% of his targets this year, ranking third on the squad among players with at least 20 targets, but it is largely due to the outstanding success of Jayden Reed and Tucker Kraft in that area.
Doubs missed a game two weeks ago due to a suspension, which was supposedly caused by unhappiness with his role on the Packers’ offence. Since then, he has done nothing but demonstrate his abilities, regardless of his actual function.
