Las Vegas Raiders’ All-Pro DE Maxx Crosby made it obvious that he wants either Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward as his starting quarterback next season, joking that he wouldn’t harass them after hosting them both on his podcast, The Rush.
“He [Cam Ward] might be No. 1.” Crosby added, “It’s between him and Shedeur [Sanders].” “Those two are definitely the coldest. They train together. I admire what Colorado is doing. They’re cooking. And Miami is cooking. We need them after the season to come on our show and explain why they should be the first quarterback picked. I want it to happen on ‘The Rush.’ We will make it happen. I think it will be fantastic.
“… Hopefully, one of them will be my quarterback. I cannot completely bully them. But at practice, you know the time. If you join the Raiders, you will be hit like a quarterback during practice. So your red jersey is all good. It’s all love, but I promise not to hurt you. “I’ll just let you feel it.”
Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward improved each other’s standing by practicing together.
Sanders and Ward did each other a huge favour by working together throughout the offseason to train. Shedeur witnessed how an elite dual-threat quarterback goes through his reads and moves the chains even when no one is open. Ward has been linked to the sport’s biggest star at his position and will serve as an alternative to the “Prime Time” show to which Shedeur will bring his new squad.
Kyron Drones, the third wheel in those workouts, is still warming up. He had an outstanding effort against Vanderbilt in Week 1, but has since failed to launch in all games except the Stanford meeting.
Shedeur and Ward are well-established as sports stars, prospective NFL players, and top draft picks. It’s anyone’s guess who will be chosen first, but if Crosby is to be believed, Las Vegas is a strong contender for both.
