OFFICIAL VERDICT: NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Issues An Official Verdict on Packer Former Aaron Rodgers After Making A Case For Return Of Former Teammate To Green Bay Packers

Some argue that since trading for quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the 2023 offseason, the New York Jets have gone out of their way to fulfill practically every one of his desires.

They signed Allen Lazard, one of his top wide receiving threats from his time with the Green Bay Packers; hired Nathaniel Hackett, his offensive coordinator from Green Bay; and just traded for wideout Davante Adams, who was his teammate for eight years.

The Jets even sacked Robert Saleh as head coach, which many believe was arranged by Rodgers himself.

The Jets have had offensive line troubles in recent years, and during his weekly appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers appeared to push for signing David Bakhtiari, his left tackle for much of his time with the Packers.

“He has let himself go over the years, yet it has become a part of his body type. I hope he has a chance. “He can obviously be an elite player if he stays healthy,” Rodgers stated.
Bakhtiari was chosen to the All-Pro First Team twice during his 11 years in the NFL.

His 2023 season was cut short by a knee injury sustained in September, and he was released by the Packers in March of current year.

In an attempt to shore up its offensive line, New York signed veteran offensive lineman Tyron Smith, an eight-time Pro Bowler, this offseason, yet Pro Football Network ranked it 19th in the league heading into Week 9.

The Jets are 3-6 after a “Thursday Night Football” victory against the short-handed Houston Texans, and the remainder of their schedule is pretty easy, so a heroic run to the playoffs isn’t out of the question.
