The Minnesota Vikings have been eagerly awaiting the return of starting inside linebacker Blake Cashman but they may have to wait a little longer. Friday, the team officially listed Cashman and fellow starting inside linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. both as questionable for their game on Sunday at the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Follow us on Facebook Cashman suffered a turf toe injury in London that wasn’t expected to be a serious injury but has kept him sidelined longer than expected. Sunday’s game would be his fourth consecutive contest that he missed if he’s not able to go. Pace, meanwhile, suffered a knee injury last weekend against the Colts that limited him this week.
He previously missed two games earlier this season due to ankle and hamstring injuries. The good news is that both Cashman and Pace participated fully in practice on Friday, which is seemingly a positive sign for their chances to play on Sunday. Rookie edge rusher Gabriel Murphy is also considered questionable, although it seems more unlikely that he’ll play this weekend.
Murphy suffered a knee injury this summer and has been on injured reserve all season. His 21-day practice window was opened this week but he was limited and missed practice altogether on Thursday. The Jaguars are also banged up and are expected to be without starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence on Sunday. Kickoff in Jacksonville is set for noon.
