Sad News and Huge Comflict In Packers: Green Bay Packers Has Officially Announced The Departure Of Another Key and Most Experienced Star To New York Jets Which Follows Ugly and Brutal Fans Reaction On GM Brian Gutekunst and HC Matt LaFleur

Before signing future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the New York Jets acquired two specific persons previously linked with the Green Bay Packers in an effort to entice him to join their team. These two people, of course, were offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and wide receiver Allen Lazard.
After dealing for Rodgers, the Jets added more former Packers to their roster in an attempt to appease the four-time NFL MVP. Randall Cobb, a wide receiver, and Billy Turner, an offensive lineman, both signed in free agency. Adrian Amos and Tim Boyle both spent time with New York in 2023, but neither finished the season with the team.

Most recently, the Jets acquired Rodgers’ favourite wide receiver from his Green Bay days, Davante Adams, in a blockbuster trade with the Las Vegas Raiders. In three games since reconnecting with his former quarterback, Adams has 14 receptions for 175 yards and one touchdown.

However, the Jets were not done adding former Packers this season.
The New York Jets have signed former Green Bay Packers kicker Anders Carlson to their practice squad.
On Friday afternoon, it was announced that the Jets had changed kickers. They released Riley Patterson, who scored three field goals in New York’s 21-13 victory over the Houston Texans. To replace him, they added former Packers kicker Anders Carlson to their practice squad.
Carlson, of course, was selected by the Packers to replace Mason Crosby, the franchise’s leading scorer. However, he failed as a rookie in 2023 and lost his spot during training camp this year. Green Bay initially maintained Greg Joseph on their 53-man roster, but dismissed him the day after the rosters were released and added Brayden Narveson.

The Packers have now released Narveson and signed Brandon McManus.

New York has been relying on Greg Zuerlein, who has suffered terribly this season. He has made only nine of his fifteen field goal tries (60%) and is 13 for 14 on extra point attempts.

Zuerlein was recently placed on injured reserve due to a knee ailment. Despite signing Carlson, the Jets want to start Spencer Shrader. He will become their third kicker in three weeks.

Fans mock the New York Jets for signing former Green Bay Packers kicker, Anders Carlson.

Carlson was recently released by the San Francisco 49ers, who had signed him after Jake Moody and Matthew Wright suffered injuries. In two games with the 49ers, he made five field goals, including a career-long 55-yard kick.

He did, however, miss one of his four extra-point attempts, which plagued him as a rookie in Green Bay.

Fans went crazy on social media when news broke that another former Packer, Carlson, was heading to New York. Carlson never played with Rodgers or any of the other former Packers who have since made their way there.

Still, it’s amusing that so many of them have been tied to New York since the exchange occurred.
