SHOCKING REPLACEMENT: Las Vegas Raiders Have Reached a Surprising and Shocking Agreement To Hire Former Coach of The Year Who Is Very Close With Tom Brady to Replace Antonio Pierce Following His Failed Experiment At Raiders

Antonio Pierce’s tenure with the Las Vegas Raiders has been a spectacular failure thus far. He was brilliant as an interim head coach last year, leading the squad to a 5-4 record, but his success has not translated. The Raiders are 2-7 this season, and he has already dismissed his offensive coaching staff. Owner Mark Davis appears to be willing to give Pierce more time to figure things out, but one overlooked issue may have an impact.

Tom Brady was just accepted as a part owner of the Raiders, and he might have a significant influence on football decisions. Davis hasn’t done much right since taking over the team in 2011, and he should rely on Brady, who clearly knows a lot about football after winning seven Super Bowls in a career spanning more than two decades.

There are reputable coaches with connections to Brady who are currently available. Bill Belichick coached Brady for most of his career, and the two won six Super Bowls together. However, the two didn’t always get along, and the Raiders may be hesitant to invest heavily in a 72-year-old head coach.

Mike Vrabel is the coach who seems to make the most sense. He was Brady’s teammate in three Super Bowls and has been a successful head coach, being voted NFL Coach of the Year in 2021 by the Tennessee Titans.

Would Mike Vrabel be a good fit with the Raiders?

Vrabel was unexpectedly sacked by the Titans last summer despite a 54-45 record and three playoff appearances. After spending a year as a consultant for the Cleveland Browns, he should be a top coaching contender in the offseason.

On paper, Vrabel and Pierce are strikingly similar. As linebackers, they both led and won Super Bowls. They also began coaching defence in college after leaving the NFL. However, Vrabel coached for four years in the NFL before becoming a head coach, whilst Pierce coached for less than two.

If Pierce figures it out, his counterpart would be Vrabel. It’s unclear how much that could mean for Las Vegas. He’s clearly more competent than Pierce and has proven to be an effective head coach, but who is to say he would have been any better than Pierce if he had been elevated too soon? If the Raiders are going to rebuild their coaching staff, it makes more sense to start with an offensive mind rather than another CEO-type head coach with a defensive background.

Antonio Pierce Could Get Another Year

Since Davis took over the Raiders in 2011, the franchise has had eight different head coaches. The only coach who had enough time to establish something was Jon Gruden, who had to retire during the 2021 season.

Davis must be happy with the prospect of conducting another coaching search. Brady is unquestionably the most significant factor. Davis may delegate authority over this head coaching choice to him, and if he dismisses Pierce, he could begin the search for a replacement.

since seems improbable now since Brady is so new to the role. It may make the most sense to give Pierce another year to figure things out, but he will not get a third year until the Raiders improve.
