Although the Las Vegas Raiders did not play this weekend, rookie offensive lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson had a fantastic time. In addition to visiting Eugene, Oregon, to see his alma institution, the No. 1 Oregon Ducks, thrash the Maryland Terrapins to go 10-0 for the third time in program history, he had a big occasion of his own.
The 2023 Rimington Trophy winner stated in an Instagram post that he and his girlfriend, Kimmi Hance, had become engaged. Powers-Johnson shared the moment with the caption, “Future Powers-Johnson’s….
Following the momentous news, his Las Vegas Raiders and Oregon Ducks teammates swarmed the comment area with expressions of support, including Maxx Crosby, Andre James, and Terrance Ferguson.
It’s difficult to imagine a nicer way to spend the bye, and it may relieve some of the burden on Powers-Johnson, given how stressful engagement planning can be. He and the Raiders (2-7) will travel to Florida for their Week 11 game against the Miami Dolphins (2-6).
