JUST IN: Las Vegas Raiders Coaching Candidates to Replace Antonio Pierce in 2025, Including Tom Brady Ties

After firing head coach Josh McDaniel on November 1, 2023, the Las Vegas Raiders unexpectedly decided to appoint Antonio Pierce as their interim coach. He performed enough to secure the position for the upcoming season. To replace him, the Raiders should look for other coaching options in light of this season’s performance.

Last season, Pierce was 5-4 in his role as interim coach, with victories over the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs. All-Pro edge rusher Maxx Crosby reportedly told the organization that he would seek a trade if Pierce didn’t stay the Raiders coach because of his on-field success and the support of the Raiders locker room.

According to NFL reports, Crosby and other Raiders players don’t like Pierce’s leadership style, and he sacked the offensive coordinator he had hired only months prior a year later. It’s time to assess potential Raiders coaches for the upcoming campaign, as the team is currently at the bottom of the NFL standings and Tom Brady is now actively involved in the organization.

Bill Belichick’s inclusion on the Raiders coaching shortlist for 2025 should not be shocking. This is the same group who made a disastrous attempt to recreate “The Patriot Way” sans Belichick. But Raiders owner Mark Davis would undoubtedly view the future Hall of Fame coach as the person who could infuse a team in dire need of stability, respect, and culture.
