In Week 11, the Green Bay Packers (6-3) found a way to boost the struggling Chicago Bears (4-5). Earlier this week, the Bears sacked offensive coordinator Shane Waldron after the team suffered three consecutive losses following their bye.
The Packers should have had an advantage in the first half. However, a Jordan Love interception set up the Bears’ first touchdown of the game. At halftime at Soldier Field, the Bears led 10-7. Love completed the half 8-for-12 throwing for 99 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
A difficult half for the Green Bay Packers.
These numbers are not what Packers supporters expected after the former first-round choice received a four-year contract extension for $222 million in the summer.
Many Packers supporters turned to social media to encourage the team to bring in backup quarterback Malik Willis. Willis completed 176 of 279 passes for 380 yards and three touchdowns in 2024. He’s accumulated 137 yards and three scores on the ground. More importantly, the 25-year-old Liberty quarterback is 2-0 as Green Bay’s starter this season.
Malik Willis time?
“Put in Willis,” a fan suggested.
“Put in Willis,” said another.
“MALIK WILLIS QB1,” a fan wrote.
“We might be better with Willis,” said another.
“I have seen enough; the Packers should play Malik Willis. “He’s better,” wrote one enthusiast.
“Do the right thing and put in Malik Willis for the 2nd half,” requested a member of the crowd.
