SHOCKING PROMISE: Broncos Rookie QB Bo Nix Makes Broncos History With Latest Honor

Bo Nix, the Denver Broncos’ rookie quarterback, has had a tough start to the season, but he appears to be the answer the organization has been waiting for since Peyton Manning departed after the 2015 season.

In Week 11, he had the finest game of his professional career, going 28-of-33 for 307 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions to lead the Broncos to a landslide victory over the Atlanta Falcons.

Nix was selected the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his outstanding performance, becoming the first Broncos rookie to get this honour, according to Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports.

Denver selected Nix with the 12th overall choice in the 2024 NFL Draft after he threw for 4,508 yards, 45 touchdowns, and three interceptions at the University of Oregon, completing 77.4 percent of his passes.

His pass completion rate established a new NCAA record for a single season.

Nix did not throw his first NFL touchdown pass until Week 4, but he has nine touchdown passes in the last four games and only one interception over that time.

The Broncos have been in quarterback purgatory since Manning’s departure, which was particularly noticeable during their failed experiment with Russell Wilson in 2022 and 2023.

However, they may have found their franchise quarterback for the next several years, and his performance has put them squarely in contention for an AFC wild-card playoff spot.
