The Green Bay Packers (8-3) and Miami Dolphins (5-6) are both coming off impressive victories in Week 12. Green Bay defeated the San Francisco 49ers 38-10 to maintain up with the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions in the NFC North.
Miami is coming off a 34-15 victory over the New England Patriots, which keeps their postseason hopes alive. However, if Miami hopes to continue winning, they will have to do so without two crucial players on Thanksgiving Night at Lambeau Field.
“That Is Massive, Wow” Packers Fans Surprised As Dolphins Rule Out Two Massive Players For Thanksgiving
The Miami Dolphins plan to be missing linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. and cornerback Kendall Fuller for their Thanksgiving game against the Green Bay Packers, head coach Mike McDaniel said Monday.
While both are significant losses for the Miami defence, the squad may not be without the pair of starters for long.
Walker, 29, injured his hamstring on a play Sunday without coming into contact with a New England Patriots player. McDaniel exited the game and did not return, but testing indicate the injury is not severe and he will not miss much time.
But, with Walker projected to miss at least one game, the Dolphins will most likely turn to former Seattle Seahawks linebacker Tyrel Dodson to take his place in the starting lineup. Dodson, who was claimed off waivers two weeks ago, replaced Walker in the lineup on Sunday and finished with an interception in the Week 12 triumph.
Fuller, 29, has been out of action since suffering his second concussion of the 2024 season during a Week 10 win over the Los Angeles Rams. In his absence, the Dolphins have primarily depended on undrafted rookie Storm Duck to fill his role.
Given the injuries, it will be intriguing to see how Green Bay exploits Miami’s defence. Here are Fuller’s statistics so far this season:
