Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur praised quarterback Jordan Love following Thursday’s dominating 30-17 victory at home to celebrate Thanksgiving.
The 26-year-old Love was a consistent presence for Green Bay in the Dolphins game, leading the offence with 274 passing yards and two touchdowns on 21-of-28 completions with zero interceptions.
Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love receives high praise from Matt LaFleur following the Week 13 win.
LaFleur praised Green Bay’s offensive line, but also praised Love’s performance despite a lacklustre protection unit.
“He did it during practice. He’s been quite conscious of doing so. I think Tom does an excellent job with our quarterbacks, ensuring that they receive the coaching elements that they require. But it is ultimately up to the gamer to accept it. And I believe he’s taken that to heart, as he works really hard. And I believe he’s playing his best ball right now,” LaFleur told reporters in the postgame press conference following the victorious victory over the Miami Dolphins at Lambeau Field.
“I actually do. I believe he has done an excellent job of taking what is available, performing checkdowns when they are present, and taking photos when they are present. And I think he moves around the pocket quite effectively. I think our offensive line is doing a fairly good job. When things don’t go as planned, he can buy time, move away from danger, and remove the football. And that is crucial for us.
Love has performed very well in the last two Green Bay games. In Week 12’s 38-10 home win over the San Francisco 49ers, he had 163 passing yards and two touchdowns on 13-of-23 completions with no interceptions.
