ANDERSON, S.C. (FOX Carolina) Westside quarterback Cutter Woods has been committed to South Carolina since June, and he made it official Wednesday when he signed to play collegiate football for the Gamecocks.
In his junior year, the 6’3 quarterback led Westside to a state championship, with the Rams finishing 14-1 in Class AAAA. This marks the program’s first title since 1969. He’ll suit up again on Friday, with the opportunity to lead the squad back to the championship game this season.
He was designated one of five finalists for South Carolina’s Mr. Football Award and was chosen to compete in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.
Woods completed 220 of 317 passes (69.4 percent) for 3,915 yards, 42 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions, ran for 345 yards with 5 touchdowns and an average of 6.8 yards per run, and finished 10-3 as a junior at Westside.
