This weekend, the Green Bay Packers travelled to play the Minnesota Vikings. The Packers would upset the Vikings in the NFC North standings with a victory. However, Minnesota defeated Green Bay 27–25 to escape.
The Vikings’ season record now stands at 14-2 after the victory. Green Bay’s season record fell to 11-5. Next week, the Minnesota Vikings will travel to play the Detroit Lions on Sunday night. The NFC’s top seed will be the victor of that match.

It should come as no surprise that the Packers’ loss to the Vikings this weekend infuriated their supporters. Both the Detroit Lions and Minnesota swept Green Bay in the regular season series. In Week 1, the Packers also fell short against the Philadelphia Eagles. Following the defeat, some Green Bay Packers supporters posted the following on Twitter:

Sam Darnold threw 33 of 43 passes for 377 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception, and the Packers defence was unable to stop him.

After Washington Commanders’ overtime victory, Green Bay drops to seventh seed.

Washington is now 11-5 this season and the sixth seed in the NFC after the Packers lost and the Washington Commanders defeated the Atlanta Falcons 30-24 in overtime on Sunday night football. Green Bay falls to the seventh NFC seed.

The Green Bay Packers will probably play the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round of the NFC Playoffs if they defeat the Washington Commanders the following week. For the second straight year, the Packers would be the seventh seed. Last season, Green Bay lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round after defeating the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs.
