HUGE COMMITTEMENT: Former Alabama WR Amari Jefferson Has Officially Sealed His Move to Tennessee Vols.

Amari Jefferson, a former wide receiver for Alabama, will play football for Tennessee in college. Jefferson declared his intention to change sides in the Third Saturday in October rivalry on Tuesday.

After an authentic rookie season in Tuscaloosa, Jefferson has moved to Rocky Top. With the assistance of Hayes Fawcett of On3, he made the major announcement.
In 2024, Jefferson did not participate in any games. He has four more years of eligibility after taking a redshirt for the season.

It’s Jefferson’s homecoming. Jefferson was one of the top prospects in the Volunteer State after graduating from Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Jefferson was ranked as the fifth-best player in Tennessee, the 35th-best wide receiver, and the 212nd-best prospect overall in the Class of 2024 according to the 247Sports Composite.

Twenty-four scholarship offers were made to Jefferson during his first recruitment. After making official trips to Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama, he signed with the Crimson Tide.

Jefferson has skill on the diamond as well. At one point, he was dedicated to the Tennessee baseball team. When he is on Rocky Top, many fans will want to see if he is a two-sport Vol.

Jefferson said, “I don’t know about baseball yet,” to SI’s Caleb Sisk. “When I get up there, we’ll figure it out.”
