Haywood is the fourth-ranked offensive lineman prospect in the 2025 class, per 247Sports. Last July, Haywood made a commitment to play football for Alabama. Haywood resembles Dallas Cowboys tackle Tyler Smith in both build and style of play, according to Gabe Brooks of 247Sports. As a high school shot put athlete, he is also quite well-liked.
Since Alabama football’s first season under new head coach Kalen DeBoer concluded without a bowl victory or a College Football Playoff berth, Haywood’s decommitment has drawn criticism from college fans.
